Every year in May the dead walk the earth. Or at least the city of SeaTac. It’s time for Crypticon Seattle again! This year, Spittin’ Llama was thrilled to supply the convention with all it’s large format printing and design needs.
Spittin’ Llama conceptualized and designed the banners for the Guests of Honor. The guests ranged from actors featured in the original Night of the Living Dead, to the immortal Cenobite, Pinhead, from Hellraiser. For the design this year, we decided to emblazon the actors faces onto the pages of the Necronomicon, along with their film credits. The banners were displayed above the tables where the guests met with attendees, signing various horror memorabilia and posing for photos.
The directional signs that were used over the sprawling three floors of the convention used the classic Crypticon Creep character designed by Nick the Hat ghosted behind directions and labels showing attendees where to go for their next horror fix.
Along the entry hallway to the Vendor Room we provided large window banners for various sponsors and advertisers. Those that attended were made very aware that this convention was brought to you by such businesses as TAP Plastics, Fingers Duke Design Studio, and Nightmare at Beaver Lake.
Those that have been to our shop know we have an in-house security guard, Jason Voorhees. He attended the convention this year, and spent all his time at the Haunted Home/Belly Wiggle Blooms booth, posing with attendees for photos. You could tell him apart from all the other Jasons at the convention by his ever present Spittin’ Llama beanie.
We give a very big Thank You to the Crypticon staff, all the sponsors and vendors, and of course all the fans that came out to make Crypticon Seattle 2017 a huge success. We look forward to seeing all you creeps next year!
